Admission

To ensure a smooth admission process, patients are advised to prepare the following:

For New Patients:

  1. Bring MyKad/MyKid (for Malaysians) or passport (for non-Malaysians).
  2. Complete a Patient Registration Form (can also be done via SunMed Go app).
  3. Provide emergency contact details.
  4. Foreign patients must present and submit a photocopy of their passport.
  5. In the case of collapsed or unconscious patients, a temporary "UNKNOWN" ID will be used until verified.

For Existing Patient: 

  1. Present Mykad/passport/appointment card
  2. Verify and update any personal information if needed
  3. Ensure your personal details have been updated within the past year

Special Registration Cases:

  1. Newborns are registered by nursery staff (using mother's ID), with a medical record number auto-generated
  2. Dialysis patients are required to pay a RM1,000 deposit during their first registration.

Mode of Payment:

  1. Self-Pay: Cash, card, e-wallets, online banking, or cheque.
  2. Company Guarantee Letter: Must be pre-approved with credit terms.
  3. Insurance: Insurance card or guarantee letter must be presented. If not on Sunway’s panel, payment will be on a self-pay basis.
