Respiratory Medicine

Respiratory Medicine focuses on evaluation, diagnosis and management of respiratory (lung) conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung infection (pneumonia, TB) and lung fibrosis (scarring) amongst others. Pulmonologists (Respiratory Medicine Specialists) appraise and manage these conditions with the goal of maximising lung function and achieving cure and/or control of the disease.
