Endocrinologists are medical specialists focused on the diagnosis and management of diseases related to hormones and the endocrine glands. These include disorders involving the thyroid, pancreas, adrenal glands, pituitary gland, and reproductive glands.

Their scope of care includes managing conditions such as diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders (e.g. hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, thyroid nodules), metabolic syndrome, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), osteoporosis, adrenal insufficiency, and growth or puberty-related issues.

Endocrinologists conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, interpret hormone-related laboratory tests and imaging, and tailor long-term management plans using medication, lifestyle interventions, and patient education. They also play a key role in managing complex or refractory endocrine conditions, often in collaboration with surgeons, radiologists, and dietitians to ensure holistic care.
